چکیده

Results Patients of HCM with restrictive phenotype have more severe clinical symptoms including sustained artrial fibrillation, pericardial effusion, and worse heart function classifications compared with controls; The left and right atrium diameter were 55.79 ± 5.34 mm and 61.33 ± 11.05 mm on MR, which were significantly greater than the controls (p < 0.001); The segments with late gadolinium enhancement were 7.68 ± 2.98 in patients with restrictive phenotype, which were significantly greater than controls (5.10 ± 2.77, p = 0.008). The left ventricular end-diastolic volume index, the cardiac index, and the left heart ejection fraction of patients with restrictive phenotype were all significantly less than those of the controls.

CMR assessment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with restrictive phenotype

Background Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a heterogeneous myocardial disorder with a broad spectrum of clinical presentation and morphologic features. Recent reports indicated that some patients with restrictive cardiomyopathy. Comprehensive cardiac magnetic resonance imaging of the restrictive phenotype in HCM patients has not been fully evaluated. The purpose of this study was to investigate ...

Noonan's cardiomyopathy: a non-hypertrophic variant.

OBJECTIVE To describe the association of the Noonan's phenotype and a primary, familial non-hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with restrictive pathophysiology. DESIGN Observational study. SETTING Tertiary cardiac referral centre. PATIENTS Affected family members. METHODS Two generations of a single family were examined and a description of the clinical characteristics and electrocardiographic...

Apical Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in a Case with Chest Pain and Family History of Sudden Cardiac Death: A Case Report

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common genetic cardiovascular disease, which is caused by a multitude of mutations in genes encoding proteins of the cardiac sarcomere (1). Apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (AHCM) is an uncommon type of HCM. The sudden cardiac death is less likely to occur in the patients inflicted with AHCM (2). Herein, we presented the case of a 29-year-old man ...

Restrictive and hypertrophic cardiomyopathies in Noonan syndrome: the overlap syndromes.

A woman with Noonan syndrome had clinical and haemodynamic features of restrictive cardiomyopathy. There was no ventricular hypertrophy on echocardiography but myocardial biopsies showed myocyte hypertrophy without pathological disarray. This case illustrates the overlap of the cardiac phenotypes of Noonan syndrome, restrictive cardiomyopathy, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Myocardial fibrosis delineation in late gadolinium enhancement images of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy patients using deep learning methods

Introduction: Accurate delineation of myocardial fibrosis in Late Gadolinium Enhancement on Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (LGE-CMR) has a crucial role in the assessment and risk stratification of HCM patients. As this is time-consuming and requires expertise, automation can be essential in accelerating this process. This study aims to use Unet-based deep learning methods to automate the mentioned ...
